INFOGRAPHIC: What Will Be PANTONE’s 2016 Color Of The Year?

Touted as the definitive language of color in the world, PANTONE has been the bible of designers and printers for color swatches ever since its incarnation in the 1960s. It has become an international standard across the different facets of the design industry.

It has also become an influence on taste and style, which includes its Color Of The Year, announced every December of the year since 1999. Our design team at MicroCreatives refers to PANTONE charts for ideas and also to make design studies better, especially when clients have a specific color theme on their mind.

Recently, PANTONE has released its predictions for the fall season which will also surely – although not definitively – affect its choice for next year’s Color of the Year. The last three years were more on earthy tones (2013’s Emerald, 2014’s Radiant Orchid, and 2015’s Marsala). Graphic design solutions agency Logo Design Guru has come up with an infographic that also reveals its own prediction for 2016’s Pantone Color Of The Year.
